Is a website that suggests that artists are more art than artworks.
We aspire to make connection between correctors and artist to feel the energy or artists and to have experience with them as a part of their correction.
The correction will first exist as a form of certificate, the moment corrector decides to use the certificate to have experience with artist, the correction will be exchanged with an intangible memory.
Art is healing.
Bring Your Own Body is a concept by Mai Ueda.
When people ask Mai what she does, she likes to answer "I be myself" That is what she does everyday, she may make happening in a museum or portraits of friends or short pop songs or domain poems or design fashion for French fashion house or supports activists for Venice Biennale, but after all what she does is be her self.
She left her native Japan in 1999 and over the years, she has made collection of friends around the world who is in similar spirit as hers.
They may have professions, maybe an artist, painter, actor, movie director, musician, politician, guru or shaman but Mai likes to think that they are art as themselves.
These people should be understood, and compensated for what they do, which is who they are, why not there is system of selling personalities.
There is this system in Japan called hostess club which can be described as contemporary version of tea house, Geisha culture, where gentlemen go and have good time with women, they are not stripper or prostitutes, the idea is that women (or men) keep company while people have drinks at night. Also they may develop relationship to hang out in a day time, hostess may accompany gentlemen to dinner or to see concerts or to watch baseball game. Sexuality is not the main thing here, it is more of a company, it may develop into romance, but that is often not the point. It usually is clear that who is taking and who is giving, it's after all a form of service.
So, Mai wanted to come up with the idea, of service where people can buy intangible, time, inspiration, energy, ideas and talent, not an art works on the wall, sclupture in the garden or edition videos of performance.
